Adrian Peterson, Vikings Run Past Lions 34-24

    Adrian Peterson ran for 171 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries as the Minnesota Vikings grabbed a big win with a 34-24 victory over the Detroit Lions in NFC North action from the Metrodome.

    Peterson eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth time in his career and leads the NFL with 1,128 yards. His 61-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter sealed the win for the Vikings (6-4), who snapped a two-game losing streak going into the bye week.

    Calvin Johnson finished with his best game of the season as he had a career- high 12 catches for 207 yards and his first touchdown since Week 3. Matthew Stafford passed for 329 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on 28- of-42 attempts for the Lions (4-5), who were riding a two-game winning streak coming into Sunday's action.

    Peterson...easily the comeback player of the year...if it wasn't for the media darling Peyton Manning...

    Peterson is just on fire! 153, 123, 182, 171 the last four weeks...with 5 TD's. He's already, easily, surpassed 2011's 12 game total of 957 yards rushing...over 1100 for 2012.
