Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told reporters that he has the full support of his team should he need to miss a game in order to be with his wife during the birth of his son. The ninth-year veteran's first child is due in about two weeks. "There's no question what I'm going to do. I have 100 percent support from my teammates, my coaches and from Mr. Rooney. Everyone felt that was the right thing to do." Source: FFToolbox.com
DAMNIT !!! BEAT ME TO IT AGAIN ............ :ranting: every one liner i want to throw out about a story walnuts has already done. that's the 3rd one this afternoon. he's apparently as witty as i am ..............
well, but the story says she is actually due in 2 weeks which would be the Browns game .................... oh, ok, never mind ..................
Nowadays they should be able to induce her whenever they want...there's a lotta says in the week other than Sunday...just saying...
a lot of women and a lot of doctors don't want to induce if they don't have to .......... apparently, it can be better if it just happens naturally. i remember talking to my wife's doctor about inducing my wife a little early because i had a very important business trip scheduled right at the same time she was due with one of our kids. he said 'no way'. i ended up being a couple of days late to my business trip but someone else filled in for me until i got there so it worked out.
Then hold it in for 6 hours. She'll be fine. Again, lotta days other than Sundays for the baby to come out.
I wouldn't be taking this well if it was happening with a team of mine. Completely agree with Ward here. And if it happens during a game, tough crap. Your job has given you some pretty big luxuries in life, IMO, and not just trolling as a Rapelisberger hater here (I swear).
meh. He should definitely be with his wife and baby for the birth. Just saying there's better odds it happens on an "off" day than a game day...
