Rex Ryan spent the morning with his team addressing anonymous players talking trash about one another in the media, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. "We're not going to say 'Hey this is what we're saying to the media, this is what we're telling everybody,'" Rex Ryan said. "We're not always going to be lined up ... we're going to tell you what we believe." Ryan did, however, refer to the act of players anonymously ripping others as "cowardly." "Did I address it? I absolutely addressed it because I think it's as cowardly thing as there is," he said. The coach suggested that this could continue to bring the team closer together. "Obviously people are here today because of a negative comment on a teammate, which I don't appreciate. If you're going to make a negative comment that's fine -- we never say that it's going to be a bed of roses, but put your name to it. I think people will respect you a lot more." He added: "I don't think we have the same problem, I don't think it was existed the way it was portrayed to. I made it my personal agenda to go out and fix it. If I'm going to be judged on this team coming together or not, that's fine with me and I'll be here for a long time." Source: The Redzone
What does he care? According to him "If I'm going to be judged on this team coming together or not, that's fine with me and I'll be here for a long time." Ballsy.
