CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports sources said Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich is expected to be out an extended period after injuries he sustained Week 11 vs. Baltimore.

While the timetable is still being examined, the Steelers are expected to work out quarterbacks this week. Leftwich was already replacing the injured Ben Roethlisberger, who is week-to-week with shoulder and rib injuries. Sources said Roethlisberger could be back Week 12 at Cleveland, but Week 13 is more likely.

Charlie Batch is the only healthy quarterback on the Steelers' roster and might have to start Week 12.

Thought it was a weird "match." I mean if you're going to bring in Kafka, you might as well bring in Palko...he knows the offense...but then again, Haley knows Palko...
