    49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was recognized as the NFC's top Week 11 performer on defense.

    Smith took home the defensive honor with a career-high 5 1/2 sacks, seven tackles and two forced fumbles in the 49ers' 32-7 victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
