Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain has reportedly posted on his Facebook page that he is no longer a member of the team. According to Kyle Burger, a reporter for WVTM in Birmingham, Alabama, McClain wrote "I'm gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual 'team'." on the social media site. McClain did not practice with the Raiders on Wednesday due to "team-related issues", but the club maintains that the No. 8 overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft remains on the roster and no transactions involving McClain were recorded on the NFL's internal personnel notice for Wednesday, November 28. The 23-year-old McClain has struggled since joining the Raiders, starting 38 of 41 games over the last two-plus seasons and totaling 244 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one interception and 20 passes defensed. According to official NFL playing-time documents, McClain played in 88.2 percent (2010) and 88.19 percent (2011) of the Raiders' defensive snaps during his first two seasons in the league, but has been a two-down player, seeing time in just 69.37 percent of the team's 715 defensive snaps in 2012. As does this count him as an official bust? As I said in the other thread apparently he and the hc had a heated exchange.
i'm glad this happened because i think the guy 'may' have the ability but the raiders are so dysfunctional, we would never know. now we will know for sure if he is a 'bust' or not with his next team if he gets some better coaching.
