Ben Roethlisberger reportedly surprised his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates by refusing to push himself in practice in the days leading up to Sunday's showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that Roethlisberger frustrated some inside the organization by doing little more than toss the ball on the sideline after he was medically cleared to practice this week, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Coach Mike Tomlin sat down with Big Ben and told the quarterback he would have to practice fully Friday or be ruled out in that day's injury report, according to La Canfora, who reported that many inside team walls expected Roethlisberger to play. Big Ben's injury was originally described as a dangerous and rare rib setback that might shelve him deep into the season. The Steelers have been a shadow of themselves in his absence. Source: NFL.com
If he is not healthy he is not healthy. You'd think that winning two Super Bowls would buy the guy some time to heal. Guess not...
Or a near death injury...lol... I doubt this story is accurate though. If anyone is playing injured, Ben is one of those guys...
You've always heard of him playing through injury and being one of the toughest qb's out there in playing with pain but when the guy is seriously hurt his own team mates ( if reports are accurate ) are doubting his resolve? Something doesn't add up here..
if i was big ben I wouldnt worry about it. you make a ton of money who cares what they think with how much you make
or it was fumblin bumblin mendenhall or else i dont buy the story either the steelers locker room is usually tight big ben has always played through injuries before i think this ones a little different itd be like the raven locker room saying crap about rey lewis not playing if big ben could play and play well enough to help the team win he would be oiut there
