Count Tommy Lasorda among those who don't believe Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa should reach baseball's highest honor and be elected to the Hall of Fame. "To me, they don't belong in there," Lasorda, a Hall of Fame manager, told the San Francisco Chronicle. "They cheated. That's the way it is. If my brother did that, I'd say the same thing about my brother. I mean, I know those guys. They're good friends of mine. But by golly, they didn't do it the right way. "I tell you, it's a shame," added Lasorda, following up with a question without referring to Bonds by name: "How in the hell could a guy hit 73 home runs? I mean, Babe Ruth couldn't do it." ESPN.com
Get over it you fat crap. You had juicers in your clubhouses too, so the high horse route does nothing but make you look like a senile bitter dinosaur.
eventually,Bonds will make it in because he is the all time home run king of baseball. I'm pretty sure clemens also eventually makes it in as well, who knows about sammy sosa and mcguire?
he's 75% right! some of the hitters today have better eyes and are helped by contacts and film study they never had back in the 1920s when babe ruth played. he's wrong about hitting 73 in a season, josh gibson hit 125 estimated in the negro league one season.
my opinion on those guys is never going to change - heck the HOF voters and heck MLB if ANY of these guys get in before pete rose.
Screw the MLB for having non players/coaches choose who goes in and who doesn't Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I Agree, pete rose is the most complete and passionate player i have ever seen, and if they do not let him or the late joe jackson in the hof, they should close it down and lock it up!
