It’s probably easy for the Carolina Panthers to wonder what could have been with their season had it not been for a gut-wrenching 30-28 loss at the Georgia Dome in Week 4. The Panthers had the game won before collapsing in the final seconds allowing the Falcons to kick a game-winning field goal after a Hail Mary from their own end zone. It’s just one of several close losses for the Panthers and certainly the one that stings the most in a season gone awry. The Panthers are playing out the string at 3-9 and they host the Falcons (11-1) on Sunday in a rematch. “There's a point where you know you're better than someone,†Panthers defensive end Greg Hary said, according to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer. “We just didn't pull it out.†Yes, Hardy believes his team was better on that given Sunday and any given Sunday. “I'm trying to mess up their whole playoff experience. I want them to go home sick in the stomach, mad about life, a couple depression issues, all types of things,†Hardy said. “It's going to be a long day from my point of view. I'm coming.†Source: National Football Post
