San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is excited about a lot of things, one thing that doesn't excite him is his team's quarterback debate: Alex Smith or Colin Kaepernick? "I'm excited that we're leading the NFC West," York said Thursday, via CSNBayArea.com. "I'm excited that we're winning football games. This is a very difficult business to be in, and I'm glad that I have somebody like Coach (Jim) Harbaugh to make tough decisions for me." Harbaugh, who picked Kaepernick to remain as the starter after Smith was knocked from the lineup due to a concussion on Nov. 11, has been facing scrutiny for the decision. But one person who has not questioned the decision is the team's 31-year-old CEO. "Coach Harbaugh is going to make the decisions on the field," York said. "And if you want your owner and CEO to make your calls on the field, then you're probably cheering for the wrong team. "It's Coach Harbaugh's decision. He's the head coach of the 49ers, and I trust him to make the decisions that we need to make in order to do what we can to win." The 49ers (8-3-1) are 1.5-games ahead in the NFC West over the Seattle Seahawks with four regular-season games to play. They next play the Miami Dolphins (5-7) at home on Sunday. Source: NFL.com
Dont get it either, obviously they were grooming Colin to be the guy. I believe they were waiting to the point where they felt he could manage the game and not turn the ball over. They can actually challenge the whole field now, the more comfortable he gets the more dangerous they'll be.
It baffles me that fans of other teams can see it clearer than most of the 49er fanbase and beat media.
Now THAT'S an owner...Jerry would be snitching about how he wants the other guy back... Sent from my LG-970h using Tapatalk 2
