Free agent slugger Josh Hamilton has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, as Rangers general manager Jon Daniels has been informed that Hamilton is going to play for the Angels. The deal is for five years and $125 million, reports CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman. The mutual interest between Hamilton and the Angels was first reported Thursday by Joe McDonnell of Fox Sports West.

Hamilton AND Pujols on the same team? I don't think I like this.

Being in California, I wonder if his demons will return.

At first I said wow, they'll have a lineup that's hard to match. But that contract is more than I would want my team to give to a guy who has a checkered past and multiple documented struggles just this year.

    Boom or bust move.
