Starting in place of injured quarterback Robert Griffin III, Cousins threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start to help the Redskins claim a 38-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns and a share of first place in the NFC East.

Winners of five straight for the first time since 2005, the Redskins (8-6) find themselves tied for the division lead with the New York Giants, who were blown out, 34-0, on Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta.

Leonard Hankerson hauled in both of Cousins' TD passes, and while Alfred Morris was held under the century mark for the first time in four games, he did rush for 87 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in the win.

Trent Richardson ran for two scores to set a new franchise record for rookie rushing touchdowns in a season, but only amassed 28 yards on 11 carries as Cleveland (5-9) was denied a chance at its first four-game winning streak since 2009.

Brandon Weeden threw for 244 yards and a touchdown, but added two second-half interceptions.

Why would you want to keep to rookie qbs when you could trade one to better your team in other areas. You can't keep playing scared that RGIII will get hurt. Find a backup qb better than Grossman if you want via free agency, but you got to take offers on Cousins. He's had a good showing 2 weeks in a row now, and if he doesn't get shown again he can go for something similar to Kolb.

I see benefits in both areas. Redskins could improve the team, by trading Cousins. Thereagain, it's nice to have a reliable backup.

Even though, the reason Cousins is doing well could be that teams haven't gameplanned for him

IMO they should trade Cousins to recoup some of what they traded for RG3

Not only what they traded but what they stole from under Mike Holmgren's nose. Double ouch for Browns fans.

The Skins have had QB issues for awhile, it would have to be a BIG offer to trade Cousins.
