Bears Place RB Michael Bush On IR, Re-Sign Kahlil Bell

The Bears placed running back Michael Bush on injured reserve, ending his season, and signed Kahlil Bell, the team announced.

The Sun-Times reported earlier today the moves were expected.

Bush injured his ribs Dec. 9 against the Minnesota Vikings, and he was in uniform Sunday against the Green Bay Packers but didn’t play.

“We were only going to use him if we had to,â€￾ Bears coach Lovie Smith said. “Still wasn’t quite ready to go.â€￾
