The Kansas City Chiefs placed wide receiver Dwayne Bowe on injured reserve Saturday ending his season, the team announced. Bowe, the team’s 1st round pick in 2007, was already ruled out of Sunday’s road game against the Oakland Raiders with a rib injury. Last offseason, the Chiefs placed the franchise tag worth $9.5 million on Bowe. Bowe was late coming into training camp after he refused to sign the franchise tender and the team could franchise him again if they are unable to come to an agreement on a contract. Bowe had 59 catches for 801 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games this season. Source: Sports Illustrated
Spiman2u Glad to see you posting again. Keep posting even though the Chiefs suck in the worst way. So do the Cards, but I still take my lumps. You're right about tagging him again. It's almost a unwritten if you're tagged twice your attention becomes leaving that team. Karlos Dansby of the Cards a good example. Stupid freaking owners.
Dwayne Bowe almost deserves a chance at free agency. The Chiefs QB situation is ugly at best and he must be itching to go somewhere where a QB can actually make a throw or two.
At least Fitzgerald has had a chance to play with a good QB. His playoff run with Kurt Warner under center was one of the best postseason performances ever. Dwayne Bowe's had nothing his entire career.
