If I may, I'd like to add another award to the list already discussed. Who was the most disappointing NFL player of 2012? I'd like to nominate Eli Manning.
Cam Newton for sure. I'm sorry I don't really see how Eli is disappointing? He's Eli he can never disappoint. Just to get this straight I don't mean that he always plays so well that he can never disappoint I mean that he's freaking Eli and he can throw 6 TD's in a game and then turn around and get absolutely shut out the next 2 games. Very streaky very up and down.
Mmm just made me think of another is it possible to nominate an entire team? If so I nominate the Eagles, everyone was on their nuts at the beginning of the season, crap even I was. "OH BOY OH BOY THEY GOT AN OFFSEASON TOGETHER THEY'RE GONNA BE FILTHY!!!!" Yeah...4 wins..
How about drew breese, who everybody was saying was as good as either manning, brady or joe montanna last year? Ben Rothlesberger has played awful, especially the 2nd half of the season, but the whole debacle in philly was really shocking to me!
Jay cutler......I'm being serious Under 200 yards a game barely over 1 TD a game 1 int a game average Passer rating of 80 58.8 completion percentage. 2nd lowerst YPA of his career(6.89), Very disappointing in my opinion,
I would say the entire bears offense was a disappointment. Its mostly on the o-line though. Your cutler hatred is just laughable at this point.
it wasnt hatred i gave legit valid reasons for choosing him..........How is what I showed not valid for a disappointing player?
a lil bit but his season isnt horrible they still got a shot at the playoffs could see where you could nominate him though
In no order: Ndamukong Suh. I thought he'd at least try to mature a little bit and get over that sophomore slump. He has the potential to be a great one and is wasting his talent away. I blame it on the lack of leadership from the Lions coaches. The Philly Eagles as a whole. I don't even know where to begin. Philip Rivers. His numbers don't look quite as bad as last year's, but something's "off" with him. Of course, it's reasonable to be "off" when you quit on your incompetent coach and your offensive weapons are downgraded every year, but still...
In another sports forum, this same thread was up. I nominated Eli and another member agreed with me. He is a Giants fan. When you're the QB of the defending SB champs, a lot is expected of you. IMO, he didn't deliver.
If you're an actual Giants fan then what Eli does honestly doesn't disappoint or surprise you, because he's been doing crap like this for the past 6 years in NY. I didn't say I'm not disappointed in the way he has played this season I am, I wish he could play consistently for an entire season, honestly though if they make it to the playoffs and he gets incredibly hot again, then well...that's what Eli does. Did he disappoint, yes, is he the most disappointing player in the league this year...heck no, I can think of at least 10 players who have had more disappointing seasons this year off the top of my head.
