Playing for the first time since suffering a concussion on Nov. 11, Michael Vick went 19-for-35 for 197 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Performance is one thing, but effort is a different matter entirely and after the game Sunday, a frustrated Vick seemed to question the effort of his teammates.

The question posted to Vick: In the locker room, a lot of players talked about a lack of fight for this team today so how does that happen, and why did it happen?

“I don’t know how that happens,†Vick said. “You watch us play, and we don’t [exude] the things that we do in practice. I don’t know where that comes from. I know it’s frustrating. It’s difficult because me, I leave it all out on the field, and I give it everything I got. Sometimes I wish I could play other positions, but I can’t, so you do the best you can. That’s all you can ask of yourself. Football means a lot to a lot of the guys in the locker room, and I know it means a lot to me. I give it everything I got whenever I step out on the field, regardless of the situation. Coming back after eight games? I don’t care, I give it everything I got. That’s something I can be proud about.â€

Minutes later, Vick tried to reel his words back in.

“Let’s clear this up,†he said “I’m not saying my teammates gave a lack of effort, and I noticed it. I just know that we can play better. That’s what I’m saying.â€

But what was said was said and after the press conference, Vick told CSN’s Derrick Gunn that he did see a “lack of effort†by a lot of guys.

Maybe if he played defense his presence on the field would still lead to turnovers?

If he was a corner he would have the ball bounce off his hands into the receiver hands still freaking us over lol.

Screw this dude. One of the bigger mistakes we've done in the past decade.

Let's play 'what if'... what if the Eagles kept Kevin Kolb?

Steve12 The night is dark and full of terrors

Likeliest scenario: he intercepts the quarterback, jukes a defender, cuts back inside, then promptly fumbles back to the offense at first contact.

That is, if he doesn't just immediately try to throw it to his own safety. Old habits die hard.
