Despite all the calls for his head from fans, it appears that Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland will not lose his job.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will speak with media later this week, but not to announce any general manager change. A team source says Jeff Ireland staying.

Well this will be the offseason for Ireland to prove he's an independent thinker with all the cap space and draft picks they've got. Free agency hasn't been a friend to Jeff.
