ESPN is on the verge of adding Ray Lewis to its talent lineup, Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated reports. Multiple sources have said the Ravens linebacker is close to signing a multi-year contract with the network and at ESPN, Lewis is expected to have a significant role on the network's Monday Night Countdown program. As with most ESPN NFL talent, Lewis would also be featured on multiple platforms, including ESPN Radio. No formal announcement from Lewis or the network is expected until the conclusion of the Ravens season, Lewis announced Wednesday that he planned to retire at the end of Baltimore's season. ESPN is a freaking joke. Not saying Lewis wouldn't do a good job, but what credentials does Lewis have that would warrant a "major" network to run out this fast and put a guy on the air? ESPN goes after the name and that's pretty much it.
i thought he wants to see his kid play football? how the hell is he gonna do that when he is up at espn all day saturday and sunday?
