A league source has told Derrick Gunn of CSN Philadelphia that former longtime assistant Juan Castillo has an offer from Andy Reid to be the offensive line coach for Reid's new team, which at the moment looks like it will be the Kansas City Chiefs (see story).

Before being fired as defensive coordinator in October, Castillo had been an assistant with the Eagles since 1995. He served as offensive line coach from 1998 until 2011, when he was stunningly was named defensive coordinator.

After firing divisive defensive line coach Jim Washburn last month, Reid admitted to having dismissed the wrong coach (see story).

“I think Juan Castillo is a great person and a fine football coach," Reid said. "Juan will have a long career in the National Football League, and rightly so.â€￾

I bet before he was fired in Philly he spoke with Reid and Andy probably told him this before. Whatever, no big deal. Juan is still one of the best O-Line coaches in the NFL.

He wasn't a bad defensive coordinator, either.

That i dont agree with he wasent horrible given the fact he was a oline coach but he was still pretty bad and got a little better towards the end.

Riddle me this.. Are Eagle fans gonna start being Chief fans? Wondering if some feel loyal to Reid. He did do a lot of good for the Eagles. just wondering

I'll be happy if he has success but I will not now, not tomorrow or not ever going to be a Chiefs fan. Best of luck, but go birds.

And honestly, say for a few on this site, most Eagles fans can suck a rod. Most of the vocal fan base(that thinks they're the smartest freaking people in the world) never wanted Andy and wanted him fired after 04. They're the same douches that booed Donovan McNabb and cheered Michael Irvin getting hurt. So to the "fan base" of the Philadelphia Eagles, it's good riddance.

I don't think many fans of teams jump ship once their coach leaves. Especially one who has never won a championship, and never really showed much of his personality to the media and fanbase. The majority will probably wish him luck in KC, but remain loyal to the Eagles.

Those were a vocal minority, not the average fan. I don't judge the entire fan base of any team, just the fans as individuals.

No not being cheifs fans but i would say most eagles fans wish the guy well. You cant go 14 years as a coach and not get some kind of respect i think. I will root for them to do well but dont mistake it for being a fan of them i will bleen green till i die.
