eh, the skins did a good job of coming out quickly and smacking the hawks in the mouth but i would attribute that 1st quarter more to pure adrenaline ...... the skins were incredibly fired up and the hawks were very workmanlike .......... once the adrenaline lessened for the skins, the hawks took control and completely dominated both l.o.s.'s the rest of the game. well, ok. i guess you've already decided that the niners are going to steam roll to the SB, which i suppose they could........ personally, even before the playoffs started, for some reason, i kept thinking we were going to see a g.bay v seattle rematch in the nfccg ......... so, then we can revisit the whole fail mary thing ad nauseum once again ........ it just seems that's how these match-ups always turn out ......... in the afc, the afccg will be the 'Brady v Manning' storyline again, blah, blah, blah
San Fran has the defense to stop GB. Look, I am by no means a 49er fan but they are poised to take it this year. That defense is just ferocious. They play old school defense and most offenses can't take it. It will come down to if their qb can make the plays on GB defense. Would like to see a 49er/Pats Super Bowl.
What does Seattle do well? Run the ball. What does Atlanta not do well? Stop the run. As much as I hate to say it, Seattle wins, and Atlanta is one and done again in the playoffs.
I picked Seattle simply because Atlanta doesn't win playoff games. Until they do win one, i'm going to pick against them.
didn't help them last year. Atlanta reminds me of a small town football player that is a big deal at home but when he gets to the big boys he falls apart and goes home and becomes a used car salesman getting drunk on Fridays telling stories on how he was so great. I want Seattle to stomp a mudhole in their asses. Another one and done for them. They had their chances back in the day but couldn't pull it off.
Listening to the talking heads atl shouldn't even show up. Falcon defense is deceptively good. They give up bunches of yards but they limit points. I also love the fact that everyone talks about how atl has such a weak schedule but has wins over denver and the entire media darling known as the nfc east. Will be a tough game but I think atl pulls it out. Disguises by the defense will turn russell wilson over a couple of times. Falcons win by 8

i agree with you both. smith/ryan seem to have trouble ramping up their level of play for january and from a match-up perspective, this is not a good draw for the falcons. seattle should be able to run the ball and if any team can slow down the falcons receivers, it is the seahawks secondary. i don't like the match-up for the falcons. i don't like how this falcons team typically performs in january. and seattle appears to have all of the momentum heading into this one................. but anything can happen.
Honestly, I can definitely see Atlanta winning this game. If anyone can beat those Seattle corners its Julio and White. I just don't have the balls to pick them.
