The Jets are in bad shape. Even though 6-10 is fixable, it's a lot harder to fix things when you don't have a franchise quarterback, don't have a general manager, need new coordinators and are a whopping $19.4 million (reportedly) over the salary cap. So it perhaps shouldn't be that surprising that, according to the New York Post's Brian Costello, potential candidates are turning down opportunities to even interview with the Jets. Costello reports that "at least two people" have declined the Jets advances because of a situation that one league source called "salary cap hell." Though the Jets drastically reduced Sanchez's cap number for 2012, they're now stuck with him through at least 2013 -- he has an $8.25 million guaranteed salary next year -- and are going to take a monster cap hit if they cut him.
