Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Eagles are trying to sell Oregon head coach Chip Kelly on the fact they already have similar personnel at the skill positions and the fact that Michael Vick could be retained as quarterback next year. Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports mentions that Vick may not be all that accommodating in regards to restructuring his current deal that will pay him a base salary of $15.5 million next season. Cole specifically mentions that Vick “doesn’t trust Philly right now†and “knows he’s going to get paid by somebody,†so there’s no reason for him to jump at the chance to remain with the Eagles. Nick Foles doesn’t possess the same skill set, so it’s hard to say what his future with the team will be. Vick is currently 32 and is almost guaranteed to miss a few games each year. can't see the eagles keeping for for 15.5 million when they can cut him and sign several other players.he'll end up in kc when the eagles release him,and the will release him in feburary.
Take Vick. Vick will be serviceable in KC. With Vick there, Reid can start building for the future.(OL and DL) Cause I don't think any of the QB's coming out are gonna be instant starters.
He must have thought the NCAA was going to impose some kind of penalties against the Ducks, so he decided to leave, like Pete Carroll left USC.
you know, everyone keeps saying geno smith is not worthy of being drafted highly ........... i guess someone is going to need to explain to me how geno smith is that much worse than RG3. RG3 can run, which makes him more dangerous, and RG3 has better leadership skills but from a passing perspective, geno was just as impressive against the same defenses in the same conference. his accuracy cannot be questioned. his arm strength is great. he finds the open receiver and limits mistakes. i guess i'm a little stumped at why there is so much negative feedback on this guy right now. i've seen some people putting him in the 2nd round. would a pocket RG3 be a 2nd rounder?
