At least one member of the Houston Texans still isn't sold on the New England Patriots.

Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph played in both losses to the Patriots this season, a pair of ugly wipeouts in which New England outscored Houston 83-42. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was almost perfect in those games, throwing for 640 yards and seven touchdowns without an interception.

    Color Mr. Joseph unimpressed.

"Obviously we had the right guys in here to win 13 ballgames to get up to that point," Joseph told Dave Zangaro of ComcastSportsNet Houston of Sunday's playoff loss. "For whatever reason, we didn't advance. I still can't put that over because I think we were a better team. I think we just didn't make the plays at the right time."

Asked if the gap between the Texans and Patriots remains a wide one, Joseph stuck to his story.

"Not at all," he said. "Just four or five plays. You take a few of those plays that they made and go the other way, it's a different ballgame."

The Patriots beat you by a combined 41 points this year. 83 points scored. I'd say that's more than 5 or 6 plays. Bitter freaking idiot.

They have a better defense and a better running game and AJ, but they have Matt Scrub at QB. If they had Brady they would win every year.

Who cares if they have a better running game? A lot of teams have a better running game. The Patriots don't need a great one. They need one that is good enough to keep the defense honest, and this year they finally have that. Sure the Texans have better running backs, but that really doesn't matter. As a whole, the Patriots offense is leaps and bounds better. And the defense is much better with a physical corner like Talib who can keep the opponent's #1 wr in check. This team is possibly the most complete Patriots team since 04. And the Texans aren't as close as Joseph seems to think.

The Patriots have been really good for a really long time, so teams have to respect that. I don't have a problem with JJo saying this though, because if you want to compete you can't be scared. And the Texans made some comments before they played them the first time that seemed as though they were awestruck by the Pats. Maybe this last butt kicking pushes them over the hump
