The St. Louis Rams have claimed recently released wide receiver Titus Young off waivers, according to multiple reports. Young was waived by the Detroit Lions on Monday. He was the Lions’ second-round draft pick in 2011. His two years in Detroit were notable for numerous indiscretions. "If y'all going to cut me let me go," Young posted on his Twitter account last month. "I'm tired of the threats." Young was banished from the team in November for what coach Jim Schwartz called unacceptable behavior, and later was put on injured reserve. Source: Sporting News
Kid's a headache. Hasn't shown ANY willingness to accept that he's even part of the problem. Don't know that I'd even try.
They'll pay him very little and make him prove himself. Probably get some production out of him for cheap. If he screws up they'll cut him
well, i think the fact that they picked him up on waivers means that they accept his current contract, which is only about $800k this season and $650k next season. they should absolutely make him play under those numbers and prove himself for a year or 2 before even thinking about a new contract.
...just to get his name out of the daily reports & then promptly cut him to applause across the league.
well, tarkus may be right ............. there are reports now that the rams are going to cut titus today
