Former Boston Red Sox right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka has signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians in which he can make as much as $4 million, CBSSports.com has reported.

Matsuzaka had Tommy John surgery on June 2011 and returned to the rotation less than a year later.

But the free agent was limited to 11 starts in 2012, going 1-7 with an 8.28 ERA in his sixth season with the Red Sox.

    He's 50-37 with a 4.52 ERA in 116 career starts.

With no pressure of the big market, I think he should be somewhat decent, a solid 3-4th guy.
