The Cardinals also announced the release of cornerback William Gay, a 15-game starter in his first year since coming over from the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was due $3.225 million after triggering an escalator in his contract. Gay's release could mean the team is counting on re-signing free agent Greg Toler, who came on strong at the end of the season. Gay tweeted about being released on Friday morning. Source: NFL.com
Only if Keenan Lewis didn't come back. I'd be ok with Taylor and Allen on the outside and Gay as the 3rd db.
I think Lewis has to be Top-Priority. I wouldn't mind having Gay there with Allen...behind Taylor and Lewis.
That won't happen unless Gay realizes his actual worth, and stops thinking he's anything better than a 3rd db in this league.
I wouldn't mind it at all as long as they sign Lewis and aren't signing Gay as insurance when they "don't" sign Lewis.
