Cowboys Release FS Gerald Sensabaugh

Cowboys starting safety Gerald Sensabaugh wrote on Twitter that he will be released.

"Been informed I'm being released for cap purposes...had a great run #CowboyNation I appreciate the organization and my teammates."

The move will reportedly save the Cowboys about $1.4 million against the salary cap in 2013.

Not really saving us THAT much money but about damn time he's gone. Has Doug Free been cut yet?

 

I wont be upset if we do select him. I would rather have an Olinemen, but can't be mad at the best safety in the draft being selected.

 

You guys were supposed to be players for Goldson a couple years back, I expect you will be again.

 

They'd do better selecting an OL or DL at 18.

 

They really need an o-lineman more than one.

 

If you look at the two teams that just played in the SB, and where they drafted their OL players, you'll see why they were so successful, IMO.

 

That's what I said.. But I won't be too mad if we end up with the dude from Texas.

 

Only one of those teams is relevant to the point youre trying to make.

The point I was trying to make is that BOTH teams used first-round picks on OL. THAT was my point:icon_rolleyes:.

 

Cowboys used exactly as many 1st rd picks on current starting olineman as the Ravens did, so now Im not sure what your point is anymore.

 

There are two lessons to be learned from the 49ers and Ravens:

1. You draft great offensive lines, not buy them.

2. You'd better be able to block if you want to achieve.

The Ravens only drafted two of their Oline starters, the 49ers 3. So half of the offensive lineman on the field in the Super Bowl were purchased elsewhere.

 

Don't be surprised if you hear the name of FB Lawrence Vickers as the next Cowboy to be released.
