Manti Te'o's NFL Combine experience might have been "exhausting," but things are likely to get worse before they get better for the former Notre Dame linebacker. Because once he's drafted and able to put all the media scrutiny regarding his imaginary dead girlfriend behind him, he'll have to deal with exponentially more abuse from his new teammates. We know this because Texans defensive lineman Antonio Smith said as much during a recent appearance on Pro Football Talk. “Our locker room is full of clowns and, oh, man, people would kill him. I mean he would be the butt of every joke for at least two, three years,†Smith said, via PFT's Michael David Smith. “You just got to be a good sport, man," Smith continued. "It is what it is and you know it is out now. It's out in the papers and on TV, so all you can do now, you can't worry about it, you can't change it, all you can do now is laugh -- laugh with us while we're laughing at you.†Source: CBS Sports
and te'o strikes me as an extremely over-sensitive man .......... so, i'm not sure how te'o is going to deal with all of that ...........
all he would have to do is not let it ruin him, make some plays on sunday, and the jokes would stop. he does seem like one sensitive soul though
