The Arizona Cardinals have informed strong safety Adrian Wilson that he'll be released today, Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 radio in Phoenix, Arizona.

Wilson has spent the last 12 seasons with the Cardinals.

No shock here. Really surprised the Cards held onto him this long. He's definitely lost a step and really can't keep up with WR's any longer. He's got enough size that I would like to have seen the Cards use him as a speed rusher/OLB instead of safety. The man can still drill an opponent.

Definitely a fan favorite and it will be strange to see him in another uni should someone pick him up. Thanks for years, AW.

No shock, but sad to see a quality player kicked to the curb after years of loyalty. Hopefully, he can get his ring elsewhere like Boldin and so many other former Cardinals.
