The Cardinals have announced the release of running back Beanie Wells. The squad saved roughly $1.3 million against the salary cap. Wells missed half of last season with a toe injury, totaling 234 yards on 88 carries (2.7 avg.) with five touchdowns, adding a lone 24-yard catch. Source: CBSSports
he was such a man child his freshman year at ohio state, sucks that he sucks so bad. Wouldnt hate to see the steelers bring him in though, hes not a great fit but redman and dwyer arent either
I know Im in a quickly shrinking minority, and Im barely hanging on myself, but I think he could still be a really good back in the right system if he stays healthy.
Hyperbolic much? He's a season removed from 1000 yards and is still young. If he stays healthy he's a valuable contributor.
Now that Arians is here, kind of surprised of this move. Not that he's an every down back, but when he gets moving upfield he's a beast. No doubt that injuries have plagued him, but he did put up 1000 yds in 14 games in '11. Kind of wanted to see what he would do with the most minor improvements in the O-Line. If he can stay healthy, he's gonna be a steal for some club, especially in the red zone.
