NFL.com's Aditi Kinkhabwala and Albert Breer report that Paul Kruger has agreed to terms with the Browns. Breer reports that he will sign a five-year, $40 million contract. Kruger built up his value in a career year with the Baltimore Ravens by recording nine sacks, although he wasn't as effective without Terrell Suggs in the lineup. Kruger was not even on the field that much during the Super Bowl because the Ravens wanted to focus on their run defense. Source: NFL.com
The more I read about the guy, the more I like him. He's probably not a superstar but a real nice first step for a new Browns organization, and the signing real opens up the draft for them.
He's got a high motor, and was a pretty good pass rusher for Baltimore. I'm interested to see if he falls of the map now.
Maybe now they take Ansah to play at end and stand up on passing downs? Just a thought. Excited about this opening other avenues to build around him.
well, the browns overpaid for him, just like the phins did for wallace but the browns also have a ton of cap space so it doesn't really matter. as long as browns fans understand they are not getting clay matthews ......... they're getting a lesser version of him............ then they will be happy with him.
