The Jacksonville Jaguars waived receiver Laurent Robinson on Wednesday, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.

Robinson signed a five-year, $32.5 million contract ($13.5 million guaranteed) last off-season but was limited to 24 catches and no touchdowns because of four concussions.

Robinson was placed on injured reserve in late November.

The move carries an estimated “dead moneyâ€￾ hit of $9 million. Part of Robinson’s salary cap hits for the next four years were annual $1.6 million signing bonuses.

I wonder if Dallas will try to bring him back. He had a spectacular year there 2 seasons ago.

He's got amazing chemistry with Romo, and is money in the redzone.

He never should have left Dallas in the first place. That $10 million fine that was imposed by the NFL thanks to that moron Mara was the main reason Dallas couldn't keep him.:icon_mad:

Idk about that. He probobly got more guaranteed from Jacksonville for one season then he would have made had he finished out any deal we sent

Now he can come back on a one year deal, play well, get moderate multiyear deal that he'll likley see the end of

This morning, Mike Fisher mentioned Robinson as one of three FAs the Cowboys might try to go after. The other two were Michael Huff of the Raiders and Ronde Barber of the Bucs, who played for Kiffin and Marinelli at TB.
