The Eagles will have a brand new set of starting cornerbacks next season as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has agreed on a one-year deal with the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This comes one day after the Eagles cut fellow underachieving cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

The Eagles have set out to purge themselves of almost every big-name free agent they signed during the summer of 2011, which also included defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins.

Rodgers-Cromartie and Asoumgha came to the Eagles amid much fan fare two seasons ago, but mustered a combined seven interceptions between them and were the victims of deep passes and missed tackles.

Doesn't hurt. Neither does the Vasquez or Welker signing.

it's interesting to me that the 3 best teams in each conference (denver, NE, Balt and Atl, SFran, and Seattle) have been some of the most aggressive teams at completely re-making their rosters. Dropping players left and right. Adding players left and right. Trading players back and forth. interesting to say the least.
