Ricky Jean-Francois, the four-year veteran defensive lineman who visited the Eagles on Tuesday, left without signing a contract, Geoff Mosher of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Jean-Francois, who had arrived in Philadelphia late Monday night and met with Eagles staff members for most of Tuesday, left the NovaCare Complex and boarded a flight for Indianapolis for a meeting with the Colts, per league sources.

The 26-year-old, who spent his first four seasons with San Francisco and played sparsely in the Super Bowl, was far apart with the team on dollar figures, a source said, and will continue to test free agency.

The source added that it’s unlikely Jean-Francois would come back and sign with the Eagles.

Hopefully what happened with Ted Ginn last year happens to RJF this year. Thinks he can get more money somewhere else....not the case, comes back and signs with SF. Guy isnt flashly, isnt a super star, but he is a young, solid defender, and SF needs line depth.
