Completely agree in your first two picks and why I think your pick at 7 for my Cards is my choice as well. Leaning toward Warmack earlier, but Johnson would start as the best OT on the Cards' roster. He's a stud. That said, I just don't see the Cards moving up to take Barkley at 29. Still think Glennon will be around in the second and might be a better fit than Barkley. Just guessin'.
If Patterson is available at 17, which I don't think he will be ... I think the Rams may grab him ... and the Steelers pass on him, I will smash something and possibly hurt a kitten and/or puppy.
this has the makings of being one of the most boring drafts of all time. not a lot of skill position/future headline players. most teams will just be beefing up their offensive and defensive lines which obviously needs to be done. just not a lot of future big name/highlight reels here in my opinion.
No Jarvis Jones? And Cleveland ain't trading up two years in a row, they already don't have a second rounder. The need is there but I don't see it happening. More likely is a trade down to target one of the other CBs or taking a pass rusher at 6
I considered that for sure, but with that d the way it is, and their history of finding good recorders later
I considered that for sure, but with that d the way it is, and their history of finding good receivers later in the draft i think they'd pass
I keep hearing glennon cause of his "big Ben"like body, but i don't see it. Ben and luck's strength is pocket escapability, which glennon don't have. Barkley is no burner, but i think he is better in the pocket, and it's really hard for me to see az not find a way to get a 1st round qb, for the fan base if nothing else and to buy new regime time, and i think they're too smart to do it at 7
From what I'm hearing out of Valley Ranch the Cowboys think Warmack, Cooper.........................Fluker as far as OL prospects. The three were compared so I think they consider him an OG I think there is interest in Fluker, but that's if he slips to round 2 Sent from my HTC Vivid
I am really loving any mock that ends up with the Titans taking Warmack. We need someone like him badly. CJ2K did some dancing last year instead of just hitting holes but the O-Line was putrid inside. Gimme Warmack, Levitre and have a camp battle for the center spot.
I know Dion Jordan would be an easy pick for Chip, but way too many holes in the roster to draft there. We just signed Barwin to a big deal and Trent Cole could fill the other side nicely. Milliner, Johnson (especially if we don't get a T in FA), Smith, and Warmack would likely go ahead of Jordan. Although I do think it would be hard for Chip to resist, I believe he would have to with Roseman there having a say in the matter.
Olb isnt a huge need, but Jordan is a rare talent, and you guys have decent but not great OLBs. Cole is a great pass rusher, but get used to seeing him in coverage because that's a 3-4 defence my friend. They should really start phasing Cole out Sent from my HTC Vivid
Oh I'm not saying we have great talent. I'm just saying we have much bigger needs. I'd actually love to have him. And Cole has been a great Eagle and one of my favorite players, but he already seems to be wearing down a little. Not exactly sure how the transition will go, but I'm not super hopeful.
When I think of Cole in a 3-4, I think of Greg Ellis circa 2006 and 2007. As a pusher I think it will be a boost. Slightly different rushing style from a 4-3 to a 3-4, but significantly less contact. Like Ellis, Cole is wearing down in a 4-3, but the less contact he gets in a 3-4 will help him remain effective longer as a rusher Downside, in a 3-4, 80% of plays on base you only rush one Olb, with the other in coverage. This was the problem with Ellis, and will likley be a problem with Cole is that they are going to be a liability in spots Sent from my HTC Vivid
