On Friday afternoon, the Oakland Raiders appeared on the verge of acquiring Seahawks backup Matt Flynn in a move that would end the brief Carson Palmer era in the Bay Area. As the two sides attempt to finalize the details of the potential trade, the Raiders reportedly have a back-up plan. In addition to pursuing Flynn, the Raiders have discussed the possibility of signing former Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb, according to Adam Caplan of Sirius NFL Radio. The trade may hit a snag because of salary-cap concerns as Flynn may be unwilling to restructure a three-year, $19.5 million contract he signed with the Seahawks last year. Kolb, 28, is coming off two consecutive disappointing seasons in Arizona after signing a five-year deal with the Cardinals for more than $60 million in 2011. Source: CBS Sports
