Dolphins Sign Brent Grimes To A One-Year, $5.5M Deal

Former Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes agreed to a one-year deal worth $5.5 million with the Miami Dolphins, ProFootballTalk.com reported this morning.

The Dolphins also announced Grimes has joined their organization.

Grimes visited the Browns on March 16, a day after the Dolphins hosted him. The Browns maintained interest in Grimes even after he left Cleveland without a contract.

But in the end, the Browns weren’t willing to offer as much as the Dolphins because Grimes is coming off a torn Achilles’ tendon, Jason La Canfora of CBS reported.

Damn.. One of the most overall athletic guys to play CB. Love the way he played for ATL. Tough loss for the Falcons, Awesome pick up for the Dolphins.

I believe Grimes will be good to go. I was keeping up with his recovery for awhile seemed to be ahead of schedule.
