The Cincinnati Bengals, needing a backup to work behind Andy Dalton, acquired John Skelton off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday. Skelton was a part-time starter in Arizona last year, starting six games. He completed 109 of 201 passes, but had just two touchdowns to nine interceptions in 2012. Skelton was let go after the Cardinals acquired Carson Palmer, a former Bengal, in a trade with Oakland. The Bengals also announced the re-signing of linebacker Vincent Rey as an exclusive rights free agent. Source: National Football Post
