The Miami Dolphins have schedule a meeting with former Texas Longhorns safety Kenny Vaccaro ahead of the NFL Draft later this month according to an ESPN report. Vaccaro, widely considered the top safety in this year's draft, is expected to be a top-20 pick. The Dolphins hold the 12th overall selection.

Vaccaro was previously a popular Dolphins selection in mock drafts, with Miami adding either him or a wide receiver. However, with free agency altering the perceived landscape around the league, Vaccaro has slid away from the Dolphins, with the team looking at offensive line or cornerback with the pick more often.

Just a shade too high IMO, although I think its a safe pick

Is his foot speed much of an issue? From what I saw, he can flat out go.

Dolphins aren't afraid to take a player "too high."

I think he'd be a good pick. Keep him behind Clemons and give him the time to get the experience he needs to be an elite safety.

No. He ran a 3.99 20 yard shuttle which is elite for CBs let alone Safeties. Despite a pedestrian 40, his athleticism can't really be questioned

He is an outstanding all around Safety prospect. Really his only knock is that he isn't as good as Thomas or Barron.

I wouldn't mind if the Steelers wound up taking him at 17...I think he's one of the three they have eyes on.
