NBA legend Bernard King will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2013, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com. The New York Post earlier reported that King will be inducted into the Hall. "He deserves it," said New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, who scored 41 points in Friday's win over the Bucks. "It's about time. He deserved it a long time ago." With Anthony's performance, he joined King as the only Knicks to score 40-plus points in three consecutive games in franchise history. King, who had been nominated for the Hall of Fame six times, averaged 22.5 points in his 15-year career. Source: ESPN New York
I was never much a pro basketball fan but even I know that King was a great player. Grats to him on the HOF induction.
All hail the King! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhFidxhezHA]Legends Profile: Bernard King - YouTube[/ame] I remember watching him as a kid on ch.9 whenever the Knicks were on. He was fun as hell to watch and it was sad when he got hurt. He never was the same really after that. Good to see he wasn't forgotten. He was something else.
