The NFL draft hasn't been viewed as this mediocre for quarterbacks since 2000. Then again, "mediocre" is a loose term. While the 2000 draft didn't feature a quarterback drafted until No. 18 overall (Chad Pennington by the New York Jets) and is the last time that a passer didn't go in the first half of the first round, it's the same draft that produced Tom Brady in the sixth round. That fact should demonstrate just how inexact the science of selecting a can passer be. With that in mind, for all the knocks on guys like Geno Smith of West Virginia, Matt Barkley of USC and many of the other young passers available, who knows what this draft is going to look like in five or 10 years? Y! SPORTS
2005 was a comparable crapshow as well. With the lone, extremely notable, exception of Rodgers, every QB in that draft was an abject failure.
What's the QB class of 2014 look like? The reason I ask is that there is a guy I know on another Web site who is adamant about benching Romo, putting in Orton, and drafting a QB IN 2014.
You should ask him who he wants, bet he can't tell you lol Aaron Murray, who I really like and would have been my favorite draft prospect if he came out and we couldn't hammer out a deal with Romo Manziel will be eligible Sent from my HTC Vivid
I mistook what he said. He wants to trade Romo for future draft picks, have Orton as a stopgap, and draft a QB in 2014.
Love murray next year. Johnny Football is about Allen Iversons tier of QB prospects. No one mentioned teddy bridgewater, the truth
