The Detroit Lions hosted three more draft prospects today, including Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o.

Te’o is not under consideration for the No. 5 pick, but the Lions could look at him if he slips to the second round.

The Heisman Trophy runner-up, Te’o has come under intense scrutiny since the end of his senior season, both for his play on the field in Notre Dame’s national championship game loss to the Alabama and for the catfishing scam he said he was a victim of during the fall.

The Lions return two starters at linebacker -- Stephen Tulloch and DeAndre Levy -- but they’ll fill the vacant left outside linebacker spot either through the draft or with an internal option, such as Ashlee Palmer, Tahir Whitehead or Travis Lewis.

Whitehead and Lewis were 2012 draft picks.

Despite all the negative press he got for the title game and being catfished, he will most likely be a good LB in the NFL. I can only imagine how much he wants to prove his doubters wrong.

I think so to if the draft were before the bama game people wouldent think twice drafting him.

He had a good season before the title game otherwise he wouldn't have been a Heisman contender. Bama just exposed his weaknesses and you'd think that he has been working on correcting those before the draft.

    Crowned Doesn't give a shit.

He will be a solid starter in the NFL, his instincts alone can carry him to a starting role.
