Running back Chris Ivory remains the only unsigned restricted free agent for the New Orleans Saints, and the reason is that he's testing his options. The bruising tailback visited with the New York Jets on Friday, according to a source. The Saints issued Ivory a second-round tender, which would be a one-year, $2.023 million contract. If Ivory signed an offer sheet with the Jets, the Saints would have five days to match the contract to keep him in New Orleans or recieve the Jets' second-round pick (No. 39 overall) as compensation. Of course, the Saints don't have a second-round pick in this year's NFL draft as the league took it away as punishment connected to the bounty scandal. Source: The Times Picayune
He needs to go somewhere and get good carries idk why the saints dident use him much everytime he did get the ball he did awesome.
I often wondered the same thing. He had, or has, fumbled in the past but that is a product of his hard running style. He is my favorite player on the Saints. I would hate to see him go but we sure can use that second round pick . The Jets would be getting a real hard runner.
