With less than four hours remaining before Friday's 11:59 p.m. ET restricted free agent deadline, Victor Cruz has not received an offer sheet from another team, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Friday night. A last-minute deal is not expected, a source told Rapoport.

The saga will drag on between the New York Giants and the wide receiver, who continues to lobby for a long-term contract. Cruz did not show up at voluntary offseason workouts this week and hasn't signed the $2.879 million tender.

This locks Cruz into the Giants for 2013 barring a holdout or trade.

LOL these are you options....don't get paid or put out a freaking killer year and chase the money.

well, apparently Cruz is not as highly thought of around the league as many fans think.

if he was legitimately a top 5 or top 10 receiver, a team would have given the 1st round tender.

My thoughts exactly. He wouldn't be nearly as effective on any other team. The Giants are the perfect team for him. He needs to sign his tender and play heckin football. IMO it would be career suicide for him to go to another team.
