Chiefs OT Branden Albert A No-Show To Team's Mini-Camp

    The Chiefs were one player away from having perfect attendance and perfect health Tuesday for the start of their three-day minicamp.

    Left tackle Branden Albert, to no one’s surprise, was the only no-show for the minicamp, which is technically voluntary. Albert indicated recently he is unhappy as the franchise player and wouldn’t join the Chiefs until he’s given some clarity about his future.

    “I understand the business,†coach Andy Reid said. “But we don’t really concentrate on the guys that aren’t here. We concentrate on the guys that are.â€

    As for those players, only tight end Tony Moeaki did not participate. Moeaki had arthroscopic knee surgery on his knee at the end of last season and watched practice.
