The Eagles announced today that former Pro Bowl FB Leonard Weaver will sign a one day contract to officially retire as a member of the team. Weaver came over as a free agent from the Seahawks on a 1 year deal in 2009 and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his pro bowl level play and big personality. After that season, he signed a 3 year, $11 million deal to become the highest paid fullback in NFL history. Sadly, on the first carry of his 2010 season Weaver suffered a horrific leg injury in a game against the Packers and his career was over. It was one of those awful scenes where even the opposing players are trying to pull guys off him who hadn't realized just how bad it was. Source: SBNation.com
