At this point, it would be a surprise if Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o was not drafted on Thursday night. Both the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have been repeatedly mentioned as suitors, and the Vikings may not get a chance to take him. Stacey Dales said on NFL Network on Thursday that she believes the Bears will take Te'o if he's available. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport writes that matches what he's been hearing. The Bears signed D.J. Williams in free agency, but they are still looking for a long-term solution at middle linebacker to replace Brian Urlacher. Source: NFL.com
Depends on how good our DL turns out to be. Te'o, like #54 , needs to be kept free of shooting lineman due to their trouble shedding blocks. We control the LOS, Te'o would fit in fine...
Te'o in the 2nd round if he's still there at pick #50 ? The Bears do need to start building their linebacking core for the future now with DJ Williams and James Anderson signed to only one year deals and Briggs only signed through 2014.
