The Detroit Lions have added a second place kicker to the roster in the wake of Jason Hanson's retirement, signing internet sensation Havard Rugland. Rugland, who is from Norway, goes by the nickname Kickalicious. A YouTube video showing him doing a series of impressive trick kicks has generated nearly 3 million views. Rugland has worked out for a number of teams this offseason, including the Lions last month. He's been working out with former NFL kicker Michael Husted since last year in hopes of earning a roster spot. Source: MLive.com

Korean chicken fights are meant to humor the fans, Kickalicious is serious business. The game will never be the same.
Got to say that video was cool. The trick where he hit the football in the air with another one was sick. Who knows how many times it took him to do each trick. Looks like he has a lot of power. He could end up being a good signing by the Lions or end up being just a YouTube sensation.
When I read this here were my thoughts, great accuracy but could he do it in pads and under pressure. After thinking about it I realized he was from Norway and most likely played Rugby so he is used to being hit by guys twice his size with barely any padding at all. I think being in pads and the thought of getting hit by a 300 lbs monster wont really phase him. Only time will tell of course, hell why not save some money and have him do punts for us to. Maybe the NFL will allow corner field goals worth not only 3 but 4 points. Extra point for difficulty.
