Shortly after the draft concluded, Saints GM Mickey Loomis spoke to the media on a variety of subjects pertaining to the draft and the players the Saints selected. The little nugget of info that seems to be attracting the most attention right now is the short answer Loomis gave at the end when asked about free agents Sedrick Ellis, Devery Henderson, and Scott Shanle. He said simply, ""Look, they’re free agents and probably not part of our plans for this year." Seems pretty definite that their playing days in Saints uniforms are over. Source: SBNation.com
Honestly, is it a big loss? The need for Henderson has long been gone. He rarely makes big plays, and is good for a dropped pass a game.
