Could the Washington Redskins be considering a name change, a member of the D.C. Council plans to introduce a resolution forcing the team to do just that. Councilmember David Grosso, an at-large independent, says the name is "racist and derogatory," and that "it's time to make a change." Grosso says a majority of his fellow councilmembers have agreed to co-sponsor the nonbinding resolution. The team's nickname has been the subject of renewed debate in recent months. A group of Native Americans has launched a new court battle to deny the team federal trademark protection, which would essentially force a name change. Grosso's resolution suggests "Redtails" as a new nickname, he says it would honor the Tuskegee Airmen and allow the team to maintain its fight song and color scheme with a few minor changes. The name has been around forever and now it's supposed to be changed? Don't agree with that at all. Granted I'm not a Native American so I don't view it through their perspective but if I'm Daniel Snyder, I fight to keep the name.
They should call them the redhogs, since for whatever reason people go to the game dressed as women with hog noses.
Why should one team glorify a couple African American Pilots? I'm white...I take offense to that type of segregation.
If the team is forced to change their name, call them the Washington PoliticalCorrectnessGettingInTheWayOfATeamName.
"The Washington Infidels"...with some dope arabic script logo that says "Muhammad Eat A twinky" in arabic. No red blooded American Football fan should have a problem with that.

There always going to be the redskins to me i dont give a heck what they make them to. They arent my team but there in my division and Its what i always known them by. Eagles vs redtails heck out of here were playing the skins.
Redtails makes sense since that's what they'll have after the Eagles spank that butt. (I don't mean that in the homoerotic way it came off as.)

Hopefully the Redskins never move back to D.C. The city has become a joke and is always pushing their agenda on teams.
